The product has the look, but lacks
the weight of the real weapon. This could be a good
thing though. Not having to lug around such a heave weapon could
make for better
maneuverability. It has a flash guard that resembles the real
one, which can be mounted
on any barrel with a bushing that can be ordered separate from
the kit. The interceptor
barrel is a well designed barrel, but it can get a little loud
when you are sniping/sharp
shooting. It makes a cool “Zing” sound down field. In my opinion
this barrel in this
modification would be great for a Tank Hunter/Javelin The shroud
is well designed as well.
It is easy to install on the newer Model 98 and Custom 98. The
older Model 98’s don’t have
the duel top rail like the newer ones which make it harder to
install. You will need longer
set screws for the older version. The opening for the elbow is a
little bit smaller and will
make it a lot harder to lock it in. A dermal will take care of
that problem easily. But how
often do you take your elbow off. The collapsible stock is a
nice feature for those with
longer arms, as well as those short arms. It also give you a
nice sling mount. Good luck
with a front mount though. I am still looking for a mount for
the front. Maybe OpsGear
will for the front Weaver Rail.
